Objectives: Upon completion of this conference the resident/student should be able to

• Describe the clinical approach to the patient with pupillary disorders including
  • anisocoria
  • irregular pupils
  • light near dissociation
  • afferent pupillary defect

Assignment: Please read Chapter 10 The Patient with Pupillary Abnormalities.
In addition, it will be helpful to review

• Chapter 1: Neuro-ophthalmic anatomy, the section on "Ocular Autonomic Pathways"
• Chapter 3: The Patient with Decreased Vision: Evaluation, the section on Pupillary Testing
