Jeffrey Stern, MD, PhD  will be the guest speaker at the upcoming Fox Center for Vision Restoration lecture on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. He will present the, "Characterization of the RPE Stem Cell". Dr. Stern is a native New Yorker who has resided in the capital district since 1989. He received his BA in Biology and PhD in Biophysics from Brandeis University in Massachusetts. Dr. Stern obtained an MD degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida. He then carried out Retina Research at Rockefeller University on New York City, The University College London, England and the MBL in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. He then founded the Neural Stem Cell Institute in Albany, NY. He is currently the head of  Translational Research.
