Summer Health Career Academy is a program for gifted high school students who are exploring health care careers. Students spend a morning rotating through stations where they learn various procedures such as intubation, resuscitation, ultrasound or see interesting radiology images and pathology specimens. I need volunteers to staff the Ophthalmology room. Seven groups of approximately 6-7 students each would rotate through your room every 30 minutes and you demonstrate the same thing to each group.

Our mission on Monday, October 15 will be a screening in cooperation with the Organization of Chinese Americans. We'll be on the 9th floor of Montefiore checking vision, pressure and taking nonmydriatic photos. This is a fast paced and fun event (and the food is great). We'll start at 6:30pm and will probably be done around 10:30pm. Due to limited space we'll need to limit attendance to four students.
Our mission on Saturday, October 13 will be a screening with the Mobile Mexican Consulate and Resources Fair.
