Coding and Reimbursement

Goals & Objectives: At the conclusion of this conference the attendee will have a basic understanding of the payment process, the role of the physician and billing and coding and will have a basic understanding of the E&M and ophthalmic coding process.

These are the most recent versions written by Riva Asbell for Ophthalmology Management updated in 2010. We will review the content of these articles at the conference session.

Also attached are a copies of our old (pre-EPIC) new patient eye exam note which was designed to help with coding compliance and a scan of an old pocket coding guide that only makes sense once you've read Riva Asbell's articles.

In addition, a table of Ophthalmology relevant cpt codes, their work and total RVUs and Medicare reimbursement is attached.
