Alessandro Iannaccone, M.D., M.S., F.A.R.V.O. is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and practices at the Hamilton Eye Institute. He has nearly 25 years of first-hand experience with: clinical care for over 2,500 patients with retinal degenerations and related medical retina disorders (including AMD); conduction and supervision of functional diagnostic work-ups; performance of and participation in a broad range of research studies in retinal and optic nerve diseases, including clinical, genetic, functional, epidemiologic, and basic science investigations reflected in over 120 publications, nearly 160 presentations, and 60 invited talks at national and international venues.
