Dr Whitaker is founder and medical director of Riverside Eye Center in Auburn, Maine. He received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London and started his career as an engineer working as part of a team developing components of the space shuttle for NASA. He attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and ophthalmology residency at the Eye Institute, Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
